This policy explains what data Poker Planner collects, where it lives, who can see it, and how you can revoke, export, or request deletion. Poker Planner is a personal trip-planning tool for adults planning live poker tournament travel.

What we collect

We process the following categories of data:

  • Account email. Used to sign you in, authenticate sessions, and contact you about your account.
  • Trip and planning data. The trips, event picks, budgets, bullet counts, results, and personal notes you create in the app. Stored so your plans are available across sessions and devices.
  • Push subscriptions. If you opt in to browser notifications, the browser provides a push-subscription record that we use to deliver reminders. We identify devices in the app by a short label inferred from the browser. Raw push endpoints and keys are not shown to you and are excluded from exports.
  • Optional browser location. If you tap "Use my location", your browser may share precise coordinates with the app for that browser session. We use them in the browser to sort public tournaments by distance and to tune live tournament suggestions. We keep them in browser storage so the setting survives navigation and refresh. Stored coordinates expire automatically. We do not send those coordinates to our servers or include them in analytics.
  • Product analytics. With your consent, we collect aggregate events such as which screens are visited and which features are used, to understand and improve Poker Planner. We use third-party analytics and product-improvement providers, including a session-replay tool, and they may set cookies or use similar browser storage. We do not sell this data, and sensitive values such as budgets, planned spend, results, payouts, and bankroll are removed or grouped into ranges before any analytics event is sent. You control this from the cookie banner or Cookie settings. See Cookies and analytics consent below.
  • Billing records. If you use a paid plan, we process subscription status and the provider identifiers needed to manage access, receipts, renewals, cancellations, and required records. Card details are handled by our billing provider.

What we do not collect today

Poker Planner does not currently ask for legal name, date of birth, or government ID. Poker Planner does not store precise device location or payment-card numbers. Card details are handled by the billing provider. Sources of public tournament information used for planning are not personal data about you.

Poker Planner does not process wagers, bets, stakes, payouts, or any real-money gambling transactions. We do not act as an operator, sportsbook, casino, brokerage, or payment processor for poker play. The trip data and budgets you enter are planning records you keep for yourself; they are not transactions on a gambling platform.

How we use the data

We use the data above only to run the planning product: authenticate you, save and sync your trips, manage access to features, deliver reminders you opted in to, support billing and account operations, review submitted source material, improve reliability, and understand how features are used in aggregate. We do not use your trip data to advertise to you or to profile your play for third parties.

Cookies and analytics consent

Analytics is off until you choose. The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or customize. Nothing analytics-related loads until you make a choice, and a partial choice is honored. You can change your decision at any time from the Cookie settings link in the site footer.

There are two optional categories:

  • Product analytics. Aggregate usage events and page views, handled by third-party analytics providers. These set cookies or use similar browser storage. If you are signed in, we identify your analytics activity using your account email so we can connect sessions to your account.
  • Session replay. A recording of on-screen activity that helps us diagnose usability problems, handled by a third-party provider. It is off unless you turn it on, and it requires product analytics. Text you type into form fields, including passwords, is masked and is not recorded, but values already shown on screen can appear in a replay.

Essential cookies needed to sign you in and run the app are always on and do not track you. We exclude our own team and admin accounts from analytics. We do not send raw money values or your precise location to analytics, and we do not sell analytics data. These providers may process data outside your country.

You can also limit analytics from your browser by blocking or clearing cookies or using a tracking-protection setting. We treat a browser "do not sell or share" or "do not track" signal as a choice to keep analytics off.

Public sharing defaults

Poker Planner has an optional public share link for a saved plan. Public share is off by default and must be created from the trip planning surfaces.

  • Public share links show the trip name, location, dates, and the public details of the tournaments and casinos you selected.
  • Trip budget, planned spend, event costs, and bullet counts are hidden by default. Money fields are only visible on a public link when you turn on the "Include budget and planned spend" option.
  • Tournament results, finishes, cash amounts, bankroll, and private notes are never included in a public share.
  • Revoking a public share link stops it working right away. A new share you create later gets a new URL. We cannot un-share a URL that was already copied or screenshotted by a third party.

Public catalog data we display (venue, series, tournament, and tournament-day rows used for planning and search) is publicly readable across the product. That catalog data is not tied to your individual account.

Your privacy controls

Privacy controls are available to every account at no charge. The Privacy and Account section on the Profile page lets you:

  • Turn browser location sorting on or clear stored coordinates for this browser.
  • Manage your cookie and analytics consent, including session replay, from the Cookie settings link in the footer, and minimize the reminder-history we keep.
  • Choose whether new public share links include money fields by default.
  • Revoke individual public share links and remove individual push devices.
  • Request a downloadable export of your account data.
  • Request account deactivation, which pauses sign-in and public access without deleting your data.
  • Request account deletion, which removes eligible data and minimizes records we are required to retain.

Exporting your data

You can request a downloadable export from the Profile page. We process the request and prepare a bundle that includes your account email and auth timestamps from our auth provider, your profile and preferences, your trips, plans, results, reminder preferences, billing summary, account audit summary, and your own analytics events.

The download link is signed and short-lived. CSV exports prefix any spreadsheet cell that begins with =, +, -, or @ with a single quote to prevent formula injection. Raw push subscription keys, internal admin notes, provider error payloads, and third-party-only billing or auth records are not included in the bundle.

Deactivating an account

Deactivation pauses your account without deleting stored data. You confirm the request by typing the exact phrase DEACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT. We process the request, then sign-in, public links, and reminders are paused. To reactivate, contact our privacy team at the address below. Reactivation does not restore old public share links. You create new share links after reactivation.

Deleting an account

Deletion is a request that we process. It is not instant. You confirm the request by typing the exact phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT. We then revoke public share links and push subscriptions, optionally prepare a final export if you ask for one, and delete or anonymize eligible data according to our retention rules.

What gets deleted or anonymized when we process the request:

  • Trips, saved plans, event picks, results, bullets, notes, and budgets you created.
  • Notification preferences and push subscriptions.
  • Reminder delivery history tied to your account.
  • Analytics events tied to your account.
  • Source files and import metadata you submitted.
  • Your profile and role rows.

What we keep, minimize, or retain as required:

  • Billing and tax records, including provider identifiers needed to satisfy financial, accounting, dispute, and refund obligations. Some of these records also live with the billing provider on their own retention schedule.
  • Security and admin audit rows, including evidence of access changes, subscription changes, and privacy-request handling.
  • Public catalog rows (venues, series, tournaments, tournament days) that are global planning data and are not tied to your individual account.

Deletion can be blocked if your account has an active paid subscription, a pending invoice, refund, or dispute, an admin role, or another protected status. In those cases we will tell you in the app what is blocking the request. Some accounts with elevated access require review by our admin team before deletion can proceed.

Retention

We keep account and trip data while your account is active, or as needed to provide the service and to satisfy the request states above. Public planning catalog data is maintained as shared product data and is not removed simply because one user referenced it. Billing, security, audit, fraud-prevention, and operational records are retained or minimized where needed for legal obligations, dispute handling, product integrity, and service reliability.

Security

If you believe you have found a security issue, use the support form (security@pokerplanner.io).

Poker Planner is intended for adults of legal age to play poker for real stakes in their own jurisdiction. The product is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from people under that age.
